A wife's interesting story

There’s an interesting factual story I read somewhere. A mother of two in her early thirties was convinced by her in-laws to go back to school and finish her degree or another course that would seem relevant at the time. The reason behind this persuasion is the old adage about husband cyclic philandering and for the wife to improve her life and save herself one day from abuse and violence. So she did. In her final year, as she delved into a small food business with a good friend, an opportunity for the spouse to spin head a venture of a next of kin came forth. The wife was demanded to leave the business and give him the total support for his new endeavor. A selfish act, definitely. Not having the heart to leave a thriving business and a friend hanging, she fought for her right to make her own decision she thinks would be good for everyone. Anyway, it is not as if she cannot provide the support the husband’s work would demand. In the course of an escalating argument that ended up with her in the hospital took place. It was late in the afternoon, as she prepared to go to the eating place and oversee the operations. The spouse in between heated arguments about her still getting involved with the business kicked her on the side of her leg so hard she couldn’t stand up and bear the increasing pain on her knee joint. He was a martial artist in his younger years. She couldn’t move nor fold her right leg without excruciating pain as her cries got louder every second. The spouse’s family were just in the other side of the house having dinner and chatting. With his fear that they might overhear her screams, he decided to bring her to the hospital. All these had taken place in the presence of their two young kids. She couldn’t get in the car without crying because of the terrible pain. In the hospital, a health professional approached them and asked about the problem. After a knee X-ray, she was diagnosed of a torn ligament on the right side of her right knee. Following interventions and prior to discharge, a health history was necessitated, and the doctors asked for the copy of her X-ray to be kept in their files, for legal purposes. The wife was also inquired what caused her injury. She concocted a white lie about being mugged and getting kicked by the side of the knee by a stranger who wanted to take her belongings. The doctors surreptitiously did not buy her story. Probably with their years of experience with domestic violence cases, they can already sense one just by inquiry and bodily movements as well as facial expressions by the patient and perpetrator. She continued school with a limping leg. She couldn’t sit for a long time nor make standing movement without pain. Her studies required for training duties as a student nurse. Despite that, she was able to endure everything. Funny, but it was also the same month, exactly a year when the pain totally disappeared. Although, in the years that follow, sometimes it would hurt or bring her down on the floor when pain emerges. But those were very seldom, probably psychological. The story isn’t over. As Given's, Tyson's former partner and wife says, "I find that my story is their story; their story is my story -- down to the details," she said. "He dragged me down the hall by my hair. He pulled me out of bed by my panties. He would like to choke me. He would kick. Givens described how Tyson's emotional apologies made it difficult for her to walk away.

An affair: More or less, but it's a she

More or less but it's a she
You feel your husband is having an affair with a subordinate. Not just that. You took notice of stories for years spreading that your spouse is having an affair with another employee, as it appears that warning signs are confirming that this may be more than just rumor. You have attempted to pay no heed to the stories that even started from your spouse’s very close relative and other former colleagues, because she didn’t look like the sort of woman he’d notice. However, having recalled the other women he had connection with in the past, looking like helpers from the provinces with accent even, nothing’s impossible. What’s worse, an acquaintance visited his office and thought that the woman was a male acting like a female. (Yep, she looks like a gay male person). But she’s all “woman” since she had a son with another married guy in the past. (Oh yeah, a real home wrecker, And you wonder what kind of company would hire such background when integrity, safety, and moral judgment are supposed to be upheld) It’s becoming progressively more interesting. You cannot stop from thinking about him sleeping with a femme fatale whom you don’t even know one’s reproductive health background, except that she uses panty liners once you saw office receipts for toiletries. Yep, the office pays for this. (Funny, your spouse doesn’t give you a dime, hmmm) Anyways, you begin to think of the sores and skin problems he’s been having. Some of the probable warning signs, not all, to watch out for that the spouse is cheating is when he spends more time in the office. Among the most common defenses is that he put more time into his occupation than usual and has been coming home late, sleeps in the office and takes your daughter’s favorite sleeping comforter, or worse left the house to live with his mom. (lol!) Apparently, is just an excuse not to be noticed by you or his children who are starting to discern as well. Another could be perfume or change in another outfit. Majority of the women especially in a tropical country will put on perfume or cologne. For some men, feminine perfume on clothes may be observed. Or if he is attempting to cover up his affair, he may change into another top. Or maybe you will suddenly become conscious that his cologne scent is even stronger than when he is out for work, this is actually to cover up the smell of the perfume on his clothing. Call logs in his cell phone, emails and phone messages erased. A few may have the habit of erasing messages after reading or sending. But many don’t because it’s painstaking. If the spouse suddenly becomes fascinated with erasing messages, emails or call logs, or totally hides his phone or keeps another small phone underneath his car, it may imply that he is trying to thwart you from knowing about some evidence that he is actually infidel. E-mailing surreptitiously on the internet or phone, or going to the office and you find them behind closed doors when there are no other people on the floor since it’s in the wee hours of the morning. He swiftly leaves the room or goes to a small corner once the cell phone vibrates. (Do you notice, it seldom rings) He always ends the conversation or speaks in a loud voice “Yes, tell Mr. So-so I’ll be there in a minute,” right away whenever you are coming near where he is standing. If he is acting very awkwardly when that happens, this is a warning sign to be wary of his atypical behavior. This is just a peep of the realities that abound. Probably more to discuss in the future, if still can maintain one’s sanity.

Moral Hazard

What is “moral hazard,” that which Michael Douglas had talked about? In view of the movie “Wall Street,” moral hazard comes about in a principal and agent dilemma, where the agent, takes action for another, known as the principal. The agent is more informed concerning the actions or intents surrounding the nature of business, since the principal may not be able to fully keep an eye on the agent. The agent may have a reason to do something incongruously in the eyes of principal if the interests of both parties are not on the same side.
Simply put, shady Wall Street investment financial institutions are capable to hustle valueless home mortgages and promote them as Credit Default Obligations (CDOs) to parties who invest. They will just be told they’ll make lots of cash through them, at the same time the investment houses are aware, that they were putting toxic paper in the market. The more immense moral hazard was that the bundled lethal paper that was put up for sale, in company with Credit Default Swaps and other spin-offs, would boomerang sooner or later and cause a credit crunch not only in the United States but the global industries as well, which could feasibly bring about a devastating total economic breakdown.

However, the shrewd guys in Wall Street are aware their foolish actions could cause alarm to the government, inform it that the world financial system would collapse in just days, and be simply relieved of their money owing.

Wall Street now is like a company of gambling casinos. The money in Wall Street was not at risk, but other people’s money was on the line. This includes the American taxpayers, big and small corporations like the American International Group (AIG), acquisitive and foolish enough to underwrite for the investment bankers risky Collateralized Debt Obligation (CDO’s) and deck of by-products. They all had their share of the pain and sought help from the U.S treasury and world financial advisers and other countries, as they falter until these days hovering on economic failure and bankruptcy.

According to then Treasury Secretary Paulson, the uppermost five investment financial institutions and firms like the American International Group (AIG) were too enormous to go on the blink and because their breakdown may devastatingly cause a global systemic collapse. And in actual fact, they attested it by observing the downturn of Bear Stearns, keeping an eye as its stock plunged from $75 per share to $2 a share, in conjunction with a selling of its building, within weeks. AIG got $185 billion by way of these types of transactions which only took off out the back door to the investment banks it had money owing extreme amounts to overblown derivatives which values it had sightlessly covered in its boorish interest of obtaining huge revenues.

Consequently, the financial system is observed to be stagnant in the market analysis. Rates of joblessness maintains at ten percent on the record. In consideration of the cumulative figure for the past number of years, it looks more like sixteen percent, not much changed compared to the Great Depression ages ago. As the movie “Wall Street” presents, investment banks in the industry, despite all these terrible realities and monopolizations remain to pass off something like fifty percent of their income in bonuses for the top executives in millions of dollars. Apparently, this is a remuneration phenomenon that continues to happen but not in other businesses.
