The “family” is the one we look to when we need love and support. As parents, we raise you, love you, and were always there when the chips are down. Your father and I are your blood, and you with us, rely on that connection. When we don’t live up to your expectations, I understand you feel forsaken. Any child would. When a parent puts his or her needs over yours, there is that feeling of abandonment and forlorn. You feel sad, alone and angry. I feel your pain.
I have mentioned to you that the soul of a child gazes down at the world and peers at every essence that dwells in every person who is about to become a parent. When she finds the one person that will be able to assist her comply with her purpose in life, she makes her choice. Our relationship, even yours with Dad is no accident. At times you may reject me or Dad, and you wish you had a different one. I understand. Remember that your soul made the selection for a cause. We can help you live your purpose, no matter what.
I am sorry for all the pain and trepidation. But always remember, in the face of difficulties, trials, and our weaknesses and faults, our love for you and your sister will never diminish. Thank you for all the support, unceasing love and faith to us as your parents. I have raised you to be strong and independent. I have not been a perfect mom, but I am proud to say that you have become the person I have always visualized even while in conception. You are a part of me, and you will soar high as a beautiful and compassionate individual, happy to become part of this diverse world that is imperfect. You make it perfect.

Hero Turned Villain

She's 18, a nursing student, one of the best, not to mention the prettiest and most popular in school and facuty..Her teacher says,"Compose a poem about your parents."
Then ask them to write a reaction relating to it. This is what she came up with.
Late night snacks
Didn’t notice the cracks
Driving through town
With the windows rolled down
You were my refuge
Amidst a deluge
Of delirious delusion
Clouding my reason
A hero, you used to be
But that was before you left me.
You lie, you cheat
You wallow in deceit
Your image, tainted
The pain has not abated
It kills me to see her suffer
I intercede; glad to be her buffer
Has your conscience taken flight?
You seem to have lost your sight
A hero, you used to be
Why did you leave me?
