#sentisabado ?
What's the #sentisabado phenomenon? Popularized by tonyocruz.com, the most excellent and sharp-witted geeks, techies, professionals and contemporary media dwellers had met via twitter. These tweeps among others had bonded online to come up with a lingering and unsullied reminiscence of the past. Crediting the ingenuity of Pinoys, it is quite realistic to assume that #sentisabado would just be the opening Twitter phenomenon for the twitter world may look ahead to more hashtags and Twitter trends from the Philippines sometime soon. Pinoy punters of Twitter in the Philippines and other places had marked the 4th of September to be #sentisabado Day, with thousands and more of tweets in retrospect to their early days from the seventies to the early part of the nineties. A blogger wrote that Filipinos in the U.S. had made #sentisabado number one in no less than two major cities in the United States. It may be referred to as anything you like, could be a breather, a transitory diversion, but whether #sentisabado is able to quieten Pinoys into disregarding what ought to be done with the existing realities of unpleasant actual events, are greatly mistaken. If anything had been demonstrated, what tweeps had accomplished during the events of Aughust 28 and September 4 was that Pinoys could come together in cyberspace and have a great global chat about anything under the sun.
